HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to help them reach their Red Kettle goal of $28,000. Social Services Director Trina Crawford says they have only raised $9,000 so far, which is far behind where they were at this time last year.
“The biggest challenge we’ve had is to get volunteers to come and sit in the two-hour shifts to man the kettles to give people the opportunity to donate. So, I just want to appeal to the public for those that might have a couple of hours a day, please contact us, either through our website or through our phone number.”
Crawford says they are desperately in need of donations and volunteers doing a variety of different jobs.
“I definitely am in need of people coming into the office and helping too. I just need a lot of extra help this year. So if anybody would like to do some volunteer work coming in and working on the computer for us. We have some computer things that need to be done. I certainly would encourage you to come in if you are liking that, because we’ve got a lot of work that needs to be done.”
