Chinook Sugarbeeters got a split Saturday night from the Chinook High School Gymnasium. In the girl’s game it was Fort Benton early and often. The final score out of the girls game Fort Benton 64, Chinook 13. Leading the way for the Longhorns was Maci Molinario with 21 points. For the Chinook Sugarbeeters they were led by Delaney Kellum with 5. Again, the girls final score, Fort Benton 64, Chinook 13. In the boys game for supremacy in District 9C, we had a good one. Back and forth the whole second half. the Chinook Sugarbeeters pulled out the two-point victory 49-47. They led by as many as 12 in the first half, but Fort Benson cut it to six at halftime and we were back and forth the rest of the night. Again, the final score 49-47. Leading the way for the Fort Benton Longhorns was Garret Diekhans with 15 points, Hayden Diekhans with 13 and Damen Bird with 11. For the Sugarbeeters, they were led by Cord Schneider’s 15. Isaac Bell with 11 and Hunter Niebauer with 10. The Sugarbeeter boys are now in first place in District 9C. Again the score, Chinook 49, Fort Benton 47.
