2 Bull Elk Shot in Blaine Co., Wardens Seeking Information

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 game wardens are seeking any information regarding two dead bull elk found south of Chinook in Blaine County last week.

A press release says that on February 14th, Region 6 Havre wardens received a call about a dead bull elk about two miles north of Cow Creek Reservoir off Lloyd Road in Blaine County, about 30 miles south of Chinook. Wardens found two bull elk and determined both elk were shot and left to waste on the hillside.

Wardens are reaching out to the public for any information about the person or persons responsible. The elks are believed to have been shot anywhere from Sunday February 11th through Wednesday, February 13th.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.
